Weekend Reading- Links I Love for Week 34
I wanted to share a specific episode of By the Book podcast with you! In case you don't know By the Book, every week the hosts Kristen and Jolenta pick a self-help book to read and live by the rules presented in that book. Last episode they read The Curated Closet by Anuschka Rees. One of the recommendations from the book was to try and cull some photos or Pins from Pinterest into a style that really speaks to you. It's not what you "should" be wearing, but it's groups of outfits or pieces that make you feel fabulous.
I loved the idea of pinning only those pins that show off my aspirational style. Check out my Curated Closed board here. What would you call this style? I've been calling it structured city chic with an edge, but I don't think that's quite right. Either way, it's been fun and has made me think about taking the time to be more put together.
And speaking of Pinterest, if you're a book blogger and want to be added to my blogger group board- send me an email or DM! The idea behind a group board is to pin your blog posts to it so that the other bloggers in the group can share that pin. So far, I've really been enjoying it and I think it's been helping my posts get views!
Moving on... Goodreads came up with a list of the books that were put on readers' DNF (did not finish) list the most the most- the list includes two of my favorites!
Something that I've been loving recently is the Chrome Library Extension. It's an ingenious idea- whenever you look a book up, whether it be in Amazon or Goodreads or wherever, you'll get a little notice on the side of the page that allows you to immediately put it on hold or check it out from your own library. So smart!
